The Magnolia Health Center welcomes Dr Ovie Ikogho !

Dr Ikogho began his career in medicine at the renowned private institution of Igbinedion University Okada in Nigeria, receiving his medical degree (M.B.B.S) in 2012. After completing his internship at the Central Hospital of Warri, a District General Hospital located in Southern Nigeria, he served one year as part of the National Youth Service Corps stationed with the Air Force Hospital of Northern Nigeria. Upon completion of service, in 2015, Dr Ikogho moved to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia where he worked in a local district hospital within the emergency department as a Medical Officer for nearly two years. He then moved to the United Kingdom where he worked as a Resident Medical Officer. After a year, Dr Ikogho decided to embark on the journey of specializing in Family Medicine and began his training. 

Dr Ikogho excelled during this period, so much so that upon completion of his training  in 2021, he became a Clinical Supervisor of Family Medicine Trainees in the United Kingdom. It was during this time that Dr Ikogho developed a special interest in non-scalpel vasectomy procedures, joint injection, and other minor surgical techniques which he regularly practices alongside his usual services as a Family Physician. Dr Ikogho is a keen believer in holistic patient care and strives to promote improved health outcomes of his patients.

He is currently a member of The Canadian College of Family Physicians (CCFP), The Canadian Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) and The  Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP) United Kingdom.

In his free time, Dr Ikogho loves to spend time with his wife and two children. He also enjoys playing soccer and lawn tennis on the weekends.
